South Africa Crew: Bug in the System?

Share:

The South Africa Crew system looks and behaves just like Brazil, Chicago and London Crew. All 4 destinations share the same queue and the capacity is still 32 but there is an issue with South Africa which is detailed below.

The in game instructions and positions are identical to Brazil, Chicago and London so there shouldn’t be a learning curve.

Asking and Inviting players to join your South Africa Crew works the same. Only the image is different.

Bandits are not a part of South Africa so running out shouldn’t be a problem (emphasis on the word “shouldn’t”). The queue which is shared with the other destinations holds up to 32 members.

The problem with South Africa Crew is that 4 of the 8 positions auto-activate. In the image below, 4 of the players in my queue were automatically added to Crew positions 1, 3, 5 and 7. I sure hope this is a bug because Crew Bonuses should be used strategically and this not only prevents strategy but it also sucks up your Crew Members. It is possible that this is a 1 time thing for arrival to a new destination. I don't recall what happened in London.

  2. I have seen this previously. Not sure if it was as a new player account entering the game, or if it was when one of the previous cities opened.
iirc though, it only happened once and then after that the choice was up to the player of when to activate them. hopefully it's the same this time too, and the auto-activation won't repeat itself.

  3. There seems to be another bug with this as well. I had a full crew of 32 before visiting South Africa for the first time. Afterwards, not only did I have the 4 crew allocated as you have, but I was reduced so there was only 4 left in my crew.

  5. Not only did it pre-seed 4 slots with crew members, but it also removed most of my other crew members, leaving me with only 4! (More quality programming brought to us by Zynga. NOT!!!)

    1. LOL, probably. I have so much going on, I didn't go back to check and I can't remember.

  8. I believe every new city started this way. It's a one-time thing where they auto-activate to start. All should go back to normal when that batch expires.

  9. Was it not the same for London when that first opened, then afterwards it reverted to the player selecting the crew member ?

  11. particularly annoying about this (hoping it is a bug and will be fixed soon) is that the scout auto-activates when there aren't any properties to rob

  13. I had the "no collection" page bug in the previous cites. On receiving a collection to activate building the jobs were reset and the same crew positions populated; therefore, I believe the crew being pre-populated in South Africa is a one time thing.

  14. I had a full crew before going to bed too. When I woke up and got the pop up for entering South Africa, I was down to 4 crew left. Leave it up to Zynga to screw up a wet dream!

  15. I collected to Ruby before it opened, but I only got R400. Others nat Gold got R65,000. Zynga Quality.
